I designed this in honor of Le Tour de France, an annual multiple stage bike race held in France since I am a huge fan of cycling, I have been following and watching this race for years. Currently the race consists of 21 days of riding through France (and occasionally nearby countries) and covers about 3,200 kilometers (or 2,000 miles) of land and mountains. On average each of the cyclists participating in the race rides about 95 miles a day. Throughout the tour, different colored jerseys are awarded to the leading riders based on their strengths. The yellow jersey is awarded to the best overall, the red polka-dot jersey is awarded to the best climber, the green jersey is awarded to the best sprinter, and the white jersey is awarded to the best young rider under the age of 26. This years winners included Chris Froome for the yellow jersey (and sponsored by Team Sky), Nairo Quintana for the polka-dot and white jerseys (sponsored by Team Movistar), and Peter Sagan for the green jersey (sponsored by Team Cannondale). If you guys missed the race this year, feel free to check it out on the website or download the app for your phone. One day we plan to make a trip to France to see this race!
