Sometimes you decide to just make the jump and go! We moved to a new city and have no regrets. | Brewedtogether.com

We seriously cannot believe how fast 2014 has flown by. It seems like only a few months ago that we were just visiting family for Christmas last year. And now the festivities have already circled back around to begin the holiday events again this year. As we reflect on the year, we are so grateful for the many opportunities we’ve had to travel and see family far away, but also make new friends and hopefully lifelong-lasting relationships. This year, we’ve had a chance to travel to Salt Lake City, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and even Sydney, Australia! (We have not had a chance to post about our Australia trip yet, but plan to in the coming weeks.)

On our trip to Australia, we had quite a bit of time to reflect on our lives here. It was a good chance for us to get away, forget the stressers of life, and really think about where we are headed and where we would like to be. As we begin this next chapter in our lives, we wanted to share today with you all officially that we are moving to Salt Lake City, Utah this month! We know this is a huge surprise, and it is still – even to us! Over the past 8 years of our relationship together and over 10 years both living here, we have grown to love Oklahoma and everything about it. The weather has always kept us on our toes and made life interesting, Kaleb’s amazing and supportive family is here in the midwest, and all of our closest friends are here. The hardest part about leaving will be the physical separation between us and the wonderful friends and community that is thriving here in Oklahoma City. We will definitely miss the long country backroad drives and beautiful sunsets. But we both agree that we are not quite ready to ‘stay put’ just yet. In our journey and prayers to come to this decision, we both agree that this is the next step for us. And while it is with mixed emotions that we are moving away from the great state of Oklahoma, we are thrilled about this next adventure in our lives. We hope that you all will understand as we make this big decision to move and begin a new chapter for us and our marriage together.

We invite you to share our journey and follow along here on the blog, Facebook, or where you will find us most often – Instagram.

Ah! Marilyn! You don’t know me, but I just stalked you for like two minutes on Instagram (you liked my wedding anniversary photos). First, I saw that you went to Sydney and just about died! My husband and I went there last year and basically did all the same things you did; I loved seeing what you guys saw and reliving it through your ‘grams. Second, you’re moving to SLC?! I live in SLC! I saw your post on Instagram that you had an announcement, and that led me here. Small world eh? I applaud you guys for this big decision—moves can be so hard when everything you love is being left behind.
