Our style these days is based off the adventures we take. We love getting the whole family dressed in comfortable yet dressy/casual attire for adventure dates. | brewedtogether.com

Have you heard about the #50styles50states challenge yet? Now that our baby is 7 months old and we are getting settled back into somewhat of a routine, we are able to begin sharing about some of our interests again – including fashion. In between all of the traveling we’ve been doing for Kaleb’s job, we try to make time to go out outside and explore the lovely mountains around us here in Utah. One major reason we moved here was so that we could spend more time doing things outside and in the mountains like hiking, camping, snowboarding, skiing, cycling, running, etc. We are big fans of most outdoor adventures. So we thought it would be fun to partner with Old Navy today to share our style for the #50styles50states challenge and how living in Utah has influenced our fashion sense. We ventured out to the mountains to take photos because we wanted to highlight how beautiful it is here and also how the scenery has influenced what we wear.

While we definitely enjoy a more relaxed attire than we did when we lived in Oklahoma, there are still some things about our tastes that we have taken with us to Utah. We enjoy fitting into the new culture since we’ve lived here, but we also enjoy putting our own signature on our style. Personally I love to wear hats. And with all of the heat hear in Utah this summer, I’d even recommend that more people wear them to protect your skin. (Also I just wish more people wore hats because I love seeing variety in styles). I paired a neutral sleeveless dress with a bright scarf from Old Navy as I felt the scarf added some color, but could also be used to keep warm or wrap around Genevieve during a hike. Kaleb went with his classic choice of a neutral button-up. For Genevieve, we chose a neutral sweater dress and some baby moccasins to keep those little feet warm on our hikes.

How has your city and state influenced your style choices? How do you dress to fit the local culture, but also put your own spin on it? To submit your own style, visit the landing page: http://www.specials.people.com/50styles50states. #OldNavyStyle #50styles50states
