Hi there! If you are new to visit/follow along here or if you just need a refresher on who we are, we thought we’d share a little intro with you and also an update for those who are curious.

We are Kaleb and Marilyn, husband and wife (originally) bloggers, but lately have been just sharing updates on Instagram (and by lately, that means the last few years). We started our blog called Brewed Together back in 2013 as a New Year’s resolution to share more of the creative things that we were doing already. Kaleb has a background and fine arts degree in Graphic Design and I (Marilyn) have a degree in Marketing with a minor in Graphic Design as well. We both have huge passions for creating, traveling, and adventures together.

When we started our blog, we had no idea what we were doing, but we just knew we had to start blogging about all the things we were doing. We absolutely loved it! It was so much fun and came easy for us, but at the same time hard to be doing it all the time. There was one year we created a blog post for every week day of the year minus holidays. At the time that included street art murals, photography, design, food and fixer upper things from Kaleb; and from me it was fashion, sewing, design, calligraphy, photography, styling. Our blog evolved over time, especially after the birth of our daughter Genevieve in 2016. Having a baby is a huge life-changer (especially the first baby). We went from having our own schedules, being able to work our blogs on the side from our full-time jobs, to everything changing. My job changed after having Genevieve and finding time to create blog posts and social media was very challenging. I was still finding my identity as a mother and a new/changed person. It was a huge paradigm shift for both of us becoming parents. Everything about us changed quite a bit and mostly more than anything – time changed…There was less time for absolutely everything in our lives that we had before.

However our love for each other and our love for Brewed Together never died, ha! Hopefully that’s not too cheesy, but really it’s true. Our blog sort of got put on hold, and it did. We were posting once every few months or as we could. As much as we loved it, there were just too many things going on even aside from being new parents. And then we had Rozy last year. We felt the need to focus more on the real and tangible things going on in our lives – especially our babies and our community; and again Brewed Together was put on hold for a while. This year we made a goal with each other to pursue this again. So here we are back. Consistently inconsistent, but still here!.Here are the biggest updates in the last few years for us:

  1. We have had two precious daughters: Genevieve (3) and Rozy (1).
  2. In 2014, we moved from Oklahoma City to Utah. We lived in Utah until December of last year and then made the big cross-country move again to South Carolina. This is where we live now.
  3. We moved to South Carolina because we both work with my family and they are mostly based here. It has been such a blessing to be close to family again, especially with our little ones getting to soak up special moments with them.
  4. We have been renovating a house here in SC over the last 2.5 years basically. It’s the project that keeps on giving!! We are excited to share more with you all about this, but seriously it’s been a roller coaster of ups and downs. In the coming weeks/months, we will really start to share more about the process. Crossing our fingers and also praying that we are almost at the end and ready to move in!

If you are still here then bravo! And seriously, you are AMAZING! We wouldn’t have any of this without you! We’ll share more updates here and more frequently on Instagram for now while we prepare to start posting on the blog again. Tell us, how long have you known us or been following along? Are there any originals from 2013?? What would you like to hear more about from us?
