Over the last weekend, we took some time to do a few of our favorite things, but also relax a little since it was the 4th of July weekend. If you didn’t know, this past weekend we were able to do an Instagram takeover of @MidwestBloggers. You might have recognized the name from other collaborations we’ve done with them. We love these ladies and were happy to share over on their feed this past weekend. Since we were already doing this, we decided to just take our phones with us and snap photos here and there to share about this week. We both had Friday off so we decided to have a date night Thursday and watch the sunset at one of our favorite places where there is water in Oklahoma, Lake Hefner. This lake has always been a special place for us since a few of our first dates included adventures there. One of our first dates included Kaleb taking me to watch the sunrise on the water there and it is a memory that still makes me giddy! Of course we had to take a ‘selfie’ of the two of us, but decided to share that here as well since we don’t usually have a chance to capture photos of the two of us.
A few of our other weekend adventures included breakfast with waffles and coffee at one of our favorite coffee shops in Oklahoma, Café Evoke. They were having a special of Red, White, and Blueberry waffles, so of course that’s what I got – and it is definitely a new favorite of mine because of all the fruit! We wanted to share a few more iphone shots of our drive-in movie theater adventure in Guthrie. And after all of that, we decided to do a small road trip out to the country and take some patriotic photos with a U.S. flag. These are probably some of my favorite new adventure photos and what a great feeling it was to get out and see the country with my man!
The last part of our weekend included spending some quality time with our Yorkie, Evie, who ‘has her paw in every post.’ We also did some brainstorming of new blog ideas for the remainder of summer. And last, but certainly not least, we had a snow cone date. As healthy as we try to be most of the time, there’s nothing like a good snow cone to beat this now 100 degree weather. And of course we had to share a few photos of the sunsets here. Nothing beats a beautiful red midwestern sunset! If you aren’t already, feel free to follow us over on Instagram @brewedtogether to see updates of everything in the moment! What did you all do for the 4th of July?
