This is one of those smoothies that most people might never try because of the green, ‘swamp water’ look of it. And those people will miss out on a wonderfully delicious treat. I’ve done my best to make this smoothie look light and colorful and really show it in all its glory. But when you add kale to the mix, it’s going to make whatever you’re juicing look like lawn mower clippings. On that note…now that spring is finally here I wanted to bring a little green to the table. With winter still lingering and spring weather creeping in, I wanted to bring the two seasons together in this smoothie with the balance of winter berries and spring greens.
2 Hand fulls of hulled Strawberries
1 Hand full of Kale
1 c. Coconut water
2 tbsp. Coconut Oil
1 tbsp. Spiralina
Place all ingredients in your VitaMix or blender and blend until smooth. When blending Kale or any other green leafy vegetable, I usually place them in first so the blades of the blender can really chop them up.
Pro Tip: If the smoothie is still to thick for your liking add another orange or more coconut water.
