Brewed-Together-Peony-Heaven-1In case you didn’t guess from having a look at a my other posts, I’ve developed a passion for flowers in the past few years. I feel that I’ve always passionate about them. However since we started blogging, we have both developed significantly in our photography skills. For us, having great images helps our readers to have a better idea of what we are wanting to communicate. And of course Kaleb and I are both very visual when it comes to how we understand things and with how we prefer to be communicated. So the best way for me to develop in my own photography skills in the past few years, is to take photos of things that make me happy. Flowers are probably one of the easiest subjects for me. I love that I can stage them and practice in different types of lighting and with different varieties.

One of my all time favorite flowers though are peonies. I love how fluffy and huge they are and how adding a few to our living room automatically brings a smile to my face. One interesting thing I’ve discovered about peonies is how they tend to change pigment over the course of the week. We purchased some red ones recently, and by the end of the week, they were pink. I love little surprises like these! What are some simple things that can be added to your daily routine to add a smile to your face?

These are beautiful! Peonies are my favorite flower! They’re so fun and happy. I had bright pink ones for my wedding bouquet and love the pop of color they added to the pictures. Love these pictures!

Did you use a macro lens for these pictures or the close up option with a standard lense? Photo taker in the making. 🙂

Gorgeouuuussss! Peonies are definitely my favorite flower. They made up the majority of my wedding bouquet and I got a big one of these beauties tattooed on my arm 🙂 They’re so incredible. The colors on these is heavenly.. Nature is magical.
